The Peotone C.U.S.D. 207-U Food Service Department is committed to providing nutritious
quality lunches for a reasonable price each day.
We operate under the guidance of the National School Lunch Program and are monitored
under the USDA, Illinois State Board of Education, and the Will County Health Department.
Meals, foods, and beverages sold and served at our schools meet state and federal
requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. These guidelines ensure that
meals are healthy, well-balanced and provide nutrition that is needed for each student to
succeed in their daily activities. Nutrition is essential for both physical and educational
development.
The Food Service Department will serve three (3) on-site preparation kitchens and will satellite
a cold meal to Peotone Intermediate Center. We have fourteen (14) employees serving our
school district. All of our employees are state certified food handlers and regard food safety as
a priority. Each school has a supervisor that is always available to answer any questions you
may have on our program or student accounts.
